Objectives
After completing this course, you will be able to:
  • Classify projects using job-order, process, and operation costing
  • Compute the direct and indirect costs of production in the appropriate accounts
  • Allocate indirect costs based on a predetermined overhead application rate
  • Account for over- and underapplied overhead and completion of the job
  • Calculate equivalent units of production and unit costs under process costing using the weighted-average and first-in, first-out methods
  • Account for spoilage under process costing
  • Calculate equivalent units of production and unit costs under operation costing.

    NOTE: This course does not address activity-based costing.
