The IRS posts a list of the topics for the computerized Enrolled Agent Exam. This list is based, in part, on the results of a survey of over 10,000 enrolled agents. While it represents the knowledge needed for the tasks performed by enrolled agents, not all of the topics will appear on the exam and some topics may appear in multiple parts.
The level of knowledge needed (i.e., proficiency or awareness) is not provided, as is often done with other exams. The topics tested will indicate that there are a certain number of items per section out of 100 total for each part. Click the links below to view the list of topics.
